Ferita Gentile — The Debut Album

Ferita Gentile is the debut album by Lombard Berri—a collection of eleven original Italian folk songs inspired by Lombardy and Milan during the nineteenth century.

Across mist-covered Navigli, the gardens of Brera, the shores of Lake Como, Cremona’s violin workshops, silk mills and railway platforms, the album follows intimate stories of love, work, departure and remembrance. Waltzes, ballads and acoustic folk arrangements evoke an imagined old Italy through warm, expressive voices and melodies shaped by longing.

At its heart, Ferita Gentile is a tribute to the Berri family ancestors who left Italy for Brazil—and to the memories, places and affections that continue to travel across generations.
